The radio in GTA VI: six stations, podcasts for the first time and music on foot

Rockstar has revealed six of GTA VI's radio stations, from Cocoteo FM's Latin music to The Chamber 106.6's metal. For the first time there will be podcasts, and both the radio and the podcasts can be heard on foot too, through headphones connected to a phone.

Updated 14 October 2026

On 8 October Rockstar gave the first look at GTA VI’s radio: six stations with their hosts, and two things the series has never had before (Rockstar Newswire). According to the studio it will be the biggest and widest-ranging radio selection in the series, with stations running from classic rock to talk radio. Those two have not been shown yet: the six below are the ones with previews out now.

The radio leaves the car

In GTA VI the radio does not stay in the car. Rockstar is introducing headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia’s phones, so the radio can be heard on foot too (Rockstar Newswire).

The other first is podcasts: on-demand shows, separate from the stations, which can also be played in a vehicle or while walking. Rockstar has not said how many there will be or what they cover.

Who is behind Dirty South Classics

Rockstar names its hosts only as Trick and Trina, but they are Trick Daddy and Trina, two Miami rappers. They say so themselves to Vibe, which reports that the station plays Southern rap classics, their own songs included (Vibe). It is not their first time on air together: in 2020 they hosted a morning show on South Florida radio. And the music was put together with help from Ted Lucas, founder of Slip-N-Slide Records, a long-standing Miami rap label (CBS Miami).

What we do not know yet

  • How many stations there are in all. Rockstar has shown six and says there are more, from classic rock to talk radio (Rockstar Newswire).
  • Which songs each one plays. The previews on the official site are snippets of a broadcast, not track lists.
  • The dynamic score, the music that follows the action, which Rockstar promises to detail later, along with more singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.
