Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit Leonida Map (theleonidamap.com), what for, and what rights you have, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Controller

The site is run by its holder, MrMartinesss. For any privacy question, write to theleonidamap [at] gmail [dot] com.

What data is processed

The site has no accounts, forms or sign-up, and asks for nothing to use it. These are the only processing activities:

• Technical connection data. Like any website, your browser sends your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes it to serve the pages and protect them from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the site working and being secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Your progress on the map. If you mark points as found, the list is saved in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to any server, and only you can see or delete it.
• Emails you send. If you write to the contact address, your address and message are used only to reply, and kept for as long as the conversation lasts. The mailbox is hosted by Gmail (Google). Legal basis: your own request (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
• Visit statistics, only if you accept them. With your consent, Google Analytics loads and records which pages you visit, what kind of device and browser you use, which site you came from and your approximate location (country or city). It tells us which content is useful. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. The data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, at most 14 months.
• Spotify and YouTube players. Some news pieces include a player. Nothing from Spotify or YouTube loads until you press play; from then on, that service's privacy policy applies. YouTube loads in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

Advertising

The site shows no advertising today. If it is added in the future (for example, Google AdSense), your consent will be asked first through a Google-certified consent management platform, and this policy will be updated before it goes live.

Who it is shared with

No data is sold or handed to anyone. Only the services above take part, as providers:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and security).
• Google (Gmail, Google Analytics and YouTube).
• Spotify AB, only if you play a Spotify player.

Cloudflare and Google may process data in the United States. Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as an adequate safeguard for those transfers.

Which cookies and similar technologies are used, and how to accept or decline them, is in the cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, object to its processing or ask for it to be restricted, and request its portability. You can also withdraw your consent to statistics at any time, without affecting what was processed before. Write to theleonidamap [at] gmail [dot] com saying which right you want to exercise. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the authority where you live.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 14 and does not knowingly process their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above says so. Significant changes, such as adding advertising, only apply after it has been updated.
